"I recently purchased a Draper multi tool drill. I went for one with flexible drive shaft as I would be doing delicate work that needed a pen like grip. He’s what I thought…
In fact, I bought the Draper multi-tool drill for doing work on my golf clubs, the grooves had gone a little smooth so they needed milling out a touch, and I saw this on the internet and thought I would give it try.
Once I got it home, due to all the tools and different heads, I did the un-manly thing and read the instructions! Trust me you need to!
To start with, I attached the flexible drive shaft and one of the ten grinding points (pink ones in image). These come in all shapes and sizes depending on what you need it for. I set my pitching wedge into the vice and turned the drill on to speed setting 4 out of 6. Amazingly it got to work on the grooves and I watched the dirt fly! It ground away at the club and I instantly saw results; the club looked like new and the grooves were exposed, all in under 5 minutes!
After I had ground the club to new I took a diamond grinding point and finished off the grooves, getting right into them and ensuring they were all clean. A little painstaking but worth it.
Changing the heads is pretty simple. Just hold the button down and use the spanner supplied to un-tighten then loosen the rest with your fingers and swap the heads over.
I did this on all my irons, and used up 2 pink headed grinding points, but overall I am pretty happy with the results. Now all I need is a decent golf game!"
